Rodrigo Janot

Rodrigo Janot is a former Attorney General and was responsible for one of the most well-known anti-corruption operations in Brazil, Lava Jato. In 2015, it was included in the "challengers" category of the list of "hundred global thinkers" published annually by the American magazine Foreign Policy.

Nonresident Senior Fellow, Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center, Atlantic Council. Bachelor's degree in Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1979), Master's degree in Commercial Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1986) and post-graduate degree in Law from Scuola Superiore di Studi Università e di Perfezionamento S. Anna, Pisa, Italy to 1989), was President of the National Council of Public Prosecution from 2013 until 2017 and member of the Superior Council of the Federal Public Ministry, elected for three terms: 2005/2007, 2010/2012 and 2012/2014. Today he is a retired prosecutor of the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office, professor at the Unified School of Brasília (UNICEUB) and the Renato Saraiva Teaching Complex (CERS). He has also taught as a guest at the University of Los Andes Bogotá / Colombia since 2018.
